What we ordered and what landed
We ordered the Casablanca graphic print black T-shirt under catalog SKU 7718753246, in size L, in the 90 black colourway. The listing showed $8.81 USD against a struck-through $9.27, with the item marked in stock. Sizes run S to XL and nothing above.
The parcel came through a shopping agent to our forwarding address in Rotterdam. The outer carton was intact, the inner poly bag was sealed, and the graphic on the delivered shirt matched the QC photos we had approved before dispatch. Total door-to-door weight on our scale, box included, was logged against the declared figure and matched within a few grams.
Bench measurements
Our testing team laid the shirt flat and measured it before wear, using the tape on the bench and the digital calipers for the neck rib and cuff openings.
| Measurement (size L, flat) | Our sample | Listing note |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, pit to pit | 55.5 cm | Loose cut, 1–3 cm stated tolerance |
| Shoulder, collar seam to sleeve end (raglan) | 44.0 cm | Raglan sleeve, no set-in shoulder seam |
| Sleeve, raglan seam to cuff | 21.5 cm | Short sleeve |
| Body length, high point of shoulder to hem | 70.5 cm | No length given in listing |
| Hem width | 54.5 cm | No figure given in listing |
| Garment weight | 231.4 g | Listing states 250 g |
Nothing crossed our 1 cm flag threshold against the published chart, which is the useful part. The only number that needed a caveat is the 250 g figure: the listing never says whether that is fabric weight per square metre or finished garment weight, so we cannot mark it as a straight discrepancy. Our 231.4 g reading is simply what the shirt weighs.
Fabric, print and construction
The shell is pure cotton with a print dye process, normal thickness and no hood. It is listed as collarless in the source spec sheet, which in practice means a plain crew opening rather than a collared neckline, finished with a rib that measured 1.9 cm deep and sprang back cleanly after stretching.
The front carries a cartoon-and-geometric motif in saturated colour against the black ground. Under our daylight lamps the print edges were crisp with no halo or bleed into the black. We laundered the shirt inside out at 30 °C and air dried it; the print showed no cracking, lifting or colour shift at the fold lines, and the black did not transfer onto the white towel we dried it against. Stitching at the hem and cuffs was even, with no loose thread ends after wear.
Fit, and why the sizing reports conflict
Buyer reports on Casablanca tops genuinely do split. Some ask whether to size down, others report true to size, and both positions have support in the threads we checked. There is a reason for that, and it has nothing to do with this shirt.
Please note our t-shirt sizing has been updated from SS25, we advise choosing your usual size. Previous clients seeking the same fit should size down.
That is the house's own published note. So anyone describing a Casablanca tee bought before that change is describing a different block, and their advice cannot be transferred to a 2024 summer listing without checking. Retailers currently describe the relaxed tees as fitting true to size.
On our 178 cm tester with a 102 cm chest, the size L hung with roughly 10 cm of ease at the chest, dropped just past the hip and stayed clear of the shoulder points because of the raglan construction. It is a relaxed summer shirt, not a slim one. If you want it close to the body, the size chart matters more than anyone's habit.
Fourteen days of wear, and one wash
We wore the shirt on 11 of 14 days in Rotterdam summer conditions, including two days layered under an open overshirt. The cotton breathed well, the graphic never felt stiff against the chest, and there was no visible pilling at the underarm or hem by day 14. After a single 30 °C wash and air dry, our re-measurements moved as follows: body length −1.5 cm, chest −1.0 cm, sleeve −0.5 cm.
That sits inside the stated tolerance and, in our view, changes nothing about which size to buy. It does mean the shirt will not hold its out-of-bag length through repeated hot washes, and we would keep it at 30 °C.
Variant codes: the part that actually catches buyers
The listing offers dozens of numbered colourways running from 90 down to 37, each in black and white. The number is not a shade reference; it maps to a specific graphic. Two shirts a code apart can carry entirely different artwork. Before ordering, match the code you select to the photograph for that code, and treat the black and white in the name as secondary to the number.
What we could not verify
- Whether the 250 g figure refers to fabric weight or garment weight. The listing does not say, and we will not guess.
- Print durability beyond our single wash and 14-day cycle. Buyer reports praise Casablanca graphics generally, but they concern the brand rather than this SKU.
- After-sales cover. One retail buyer has publicly reported a defect after minimal use with replacement refused; it is a single report, not a pattern, but it is unanswered, so get any return terms in writing before ordering.
