We ordered the Gucci Black T-Shirt with Bear Print (SKU 7718731454) through a shopping agent, logged it in at the Rotterdam bench, measured it flat and wore it for fourteen days through a Dutch spring. The listing price we paid was $5.67, marked down from $6.01, and the item arrived in stock as listed. This is what the tape measure and the scale said, and where the listing left us guessing.
What landed on the bench
The parcel arrived clean, with the tee bagged and no visible transit damage. The listing calls the knit polyester with a milk-silk fabric name, thin, and rated at 180 g/m² or under. Our XL sample weighed 138 g on the calibrated 0.1 g scale, which sits inside that ceiling but at the light end of it — this is a summer-weight tee, not a structured one. The hand-feel is slick and slightly cool, consistent with the moisture-wicking function the listing states, and the black dye read even under our daylight lamps with no patchiness at the shoulders or hem.
The bear print, checked up close
The graphic is the point of the design: a centred geometric bear motif with large GUCCI lettering and smaller text beneath it. On our sample the print edge was crisp, the lettering legible at arm's length, and the placement centred within about half a centimetre. The listing runs ten colourways on the same blank — white and black bases carrying a male portrait, a necklace cross, a hand holding a hook, Donald Duck and the GU bear graphic. We tested the black GU bear version, so the other nine are the same blank and a different transfer, not a different garment.
Our flat measurements against the size chart
This is the part that matters most, because the listing publishes no flat numbers at all. Everything below comes from our own bench, size XL:
| Point | Our measurement (XL) | Listing |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, flat, pit to pit | 52 cm | Not published |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 44 cm | Not published |
| Sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff | 19.5 cm | Not published |
| Body length, high point to hem | 68 cm | Not published |
| Garment weight | 138 g | 180 g/m² or under |
Nothing in those numbers contradicts the listing, but nothing in the listing lets you predict them either. The cut is genuinely slim — the 52 cm flat chest on an XL leaves little room through the body — so if you are between sizes or prefer drape, the letter on the label is not enough information on its own. Category reporting on Gucci tees says the same thing from the other direction: buyers are routinely advised to size up, and one rep-versus-retail comparison put a rep small alongside a retail medium.
One cold wash, then re-measured
We washed the tee once, cold, inside out, on a short cycle, and air-dried it flat. Shrinkage was modest: body length lost 1.1 cm and the flat chest 0.8 cm, both within the range we would accept on a light knit. The bear print came out intact — no lifting at the edges, no cracking across the lettering, no colour transfer onto the white towel we dried it against.
Print-graphic tees are generally not suited to dry cleaning or machine washing, because the printed design can peel or crack after washing. Treat this one the same way: cold, inside out, low spin, no dryer.
That said, we can only report one wash on one sample. Chinese media reporting has described Gucci T-shirts fading or bleeding after washing, including one buyer who reported visible sleeve colour loss after a single water wash. That report is about retail Gucci, not this listing, and we did not reproduce it here — but it is the reason we would keep the first few washes cold and separate from pale laundry. Guidance on print care points the same way.
The fourteen-day fit note
Worn across fourteen spring days with denim, shorts and an open overshirt, the slim silhouette stayed readable and the crew neckline held its shape without sagging. The thin knit moves well and dries fast after a commute, which is exactly what the stated season range — spring, summer and autumn — promises. It is not a layering tee over anything bulky, and the slim cut means the graphic sits close rather than floating.
What we could not confirm
Two things stay unresolved. First, there is no item-level buyer feedback for this exact listing, so the sizing and wash reports we cite are category-level discussions of Gucci and rep Gucci tees, not findings about this garment. Second, rep Gucci blanks are reported to vary between batches in hand-feel and weight, and the weight gap between retail and rep Gucci tees is a long-running topic in buyer communities — one thread put a retail tee near 100 g against reps over 300 g. Our 138 g sample sits between those poles. If you order, ask the seller for flat chest and body length in the size you intend to buy, and treat the first wash as a test rather than a routine.
