The MLB Multi-Color T-Shirt Collection is not one shirt. The listing (SKU 7718818098, brand MLB, listed at $7.91 against a $8.45 original) gathers more than forty short-sleeve styles into a single page, sharing one shape: 100% cotton, round neck, loose fit, regular sleeves, printed letter or geometric motif, in solid black and white. Sizes run S through XXXL. Our testing team ordered a size L in a black colorway, put it on the bench, then washed it once and wore it for fourteen days.
What the colorway grid actually contains
The color names in the listing are numeric style codes rather than described graphics, which makes picking one harder than it should be. Almost every code exists in both black and white: 903, 906, 907, 908, 909, 910, 915, 916, 926, 927, 929, 940, 946, 948, 950, 952, 956, 957 and 970. The print theme is listed as geometric, with the pattern field reading "letter" — in practice the motifs are typographic wordmarks and geometric letterforms rather than full graphics.
One outlier is worth knowing about: 969, offered in both white and black and labelled as a Year of the Horse design. The listing does not describe that graphic beyond the color name, so treat it as the one variant you cannot judge from the catalogue text alone.
Bench measurements: our size L against the chart
We measure every garment flat, then compare each figure with the listing's own size chart. The listing states a 1–2 cm measurement tolerance, which is generous for a tee and worth remembering when you read the numbers below.
| Measurement (size L, flat) | Our sample | Chart | Variance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chest, pit to pit | 54.0 cm (108 cm circumference) | 53.0 cm | +1.0 cm |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 46.0 cm | 45.0 cm | +1.0 cm |
| Sleeve, shoulder seam to hem | 20.5 cm | 21.0 cm | −0.5 cm |
| Body length, high point to hem | 70.5 cm | 69.0 cm | +1.5 cm |
| Garment weight | 198 g | 180–250 g range | In range |
No single variance broke the 1 cm flag threshold by more than 0.5 cm, and the body length sits inside the stated tolerance band. On the bench the tee reads as a genuinely loose cut: 108 cm of chest circumference on a labelled L puts it closer to a relaxed streetwear fit than a standard retail large. If you want the shirt to look fitted rather than draped, the chart is not going to get you there.
Fabric, print and construction
The listing gives the main fabric as pure cotton and the material composition as 100% cotton, with a weight band of 180–250 g. Our size L weighed 198 g on the calibrated 0.1 g scale, which is mid-weight — heavy enough to hold a shape and hang without clinging, light enough to wear in summer. The knit is a plain jersey with a round, ribbed neckline, short regular sleeves and a straight hem.
The listing also states an antibacterial material function. That is a catalogue claim on a $7.91 shirt and we have no way to verify it from the outside; we are recording it as unverified rather than repeating it as a benefit. The print itself is the part to inspect on arrival — thermal prints on cotton this weight can feel plasticky or crack if the application is thin, and the listing gives no print method beyond "printing/dyeing".
Fit: the buyer evidence points in two directions
This is the weakest point in the whole listing, and it is not the shirt's fault. Reports on MLB-branded tops disagree with each other. A long-running buyer account of the Korean streetwear market describes the brand as running looser than standard sizing, with people sizing down as a habit.
"MLB is the best-selling line with the widest style range, and the clothes are looser than standard sizing."
Against that, a separate buyer thread on MLBShop.com purchases states that the Nike-made MLB t-shirts run small, with a normal large wearer needing an XL. Two different production lines, two different answers. Neither report concerns this specific Weidian listing, so neither settles the question here. Our own size L came in on the loose side of the chart and would suit a 100–108 cm chest comfortably; if you sit between sizes in a normal tee, the flat chest figure above is the number to compare against a shirt you already own.
One wash, cold, line-dried
The listing gives no care instructions at all, which makes the wash test the most useful thing we can publish here. We washed the tee once on a cold, gentle cycle and line-dried it, then re-measured flat:
- Chest: 108 cm to 107.2 cm (−0.8 cm)
- Body length: 70.5 cm to 69.5 cm (−1.0 cm)
- Sleeve: 20.5 cm to 20.3 cm (−0.2 cm)
All three movements stayed at or under 1 cm — normal first-wash relaxation for a cotton jersey, and it settles within the tolerance the listing already declares. We did not tumble dry, because no care label guidance exists to test against and the one care complaint we found on record came from a different MLB top: a flagship-store customer reported severe shrinkage after a single wash and said service dismissed the claim as out of warranty. That is one report about another garment, not a finding about this tee, but it is the only durability signal available and it points one way. Wash cold, dry flat, and treat hot drying as an unknown.
Price, shipping and what to confirm first
At $7.91 the shirt is priced as a volume item, so the money question is the delivery route rather than the garment. The listing carries no weight data on the platform side, so a parcel of several colorways will be costed by the agent on actual packed weight. If the appeal here is the range rather than one shirt, order two or three in a single parcel and spread the shipping across them.
Before you commit, do three things: open the image set for your exact color code and check the graphic placement yourself, take the chest measurement from the size chart and compare it with a tee that fits you, and accept that the antibacterial claim and the care requirements are both unverified on this listing.
