Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: Bench-Measured 220g Cotton Logo Tee

We ordered a size L Rhude logo tee, measured it flat, weighed the fabric at 226.4 g/m² and washed it once. It runs two centimetres wider in the chest than its own chart.

Editor verdict
A 220g-class long-staple cotton tee that measures looser than its own chart in every direction we checked. Print held up over 14 days and one wash, and the colour list is enormous. Confirm flat measurements before paying.
Buyers who want an oversized letter-print cotton tee, value a broad black, white and apricot colour choice, and will send their agent flat measurements before paying.
Anyone who needs a true-to-size or slim cut, or wants a fit they can pick from the label without confirming measurements first.

What works

  1. Measured 226.4 g/m² on our hem coupon, close to the stated 220g long-staple cotton.
  2. Survived one cold wash with under 2% shrinkage, an uncracked print and a flat collarless neckline.
  3. S–XL across a long run of black, white and apricot codes at $8.51, listed in stock.

Watch-outs

  1. Runs loose: our size L chest measured 2.0 cm wider than the listing chart.
  2. Label size alone will not predict fit, since Rhude cuts vary between silhouettes in buyer threads.
  3. No buyer-written reviews exist for this exact SKU, so sizing rests on our measurements and category threads.
Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: Bench-Measured 220g Cotton Logo Tee

Byline: Priya Raman, Reviews Editor. The Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection is listed under SKU 7718829942 at $8.51, down from $10.14, and marked in stock. We ordered one sample in size L through our shopping agent, cleared the QC photos, and put the parcel on the bench the day it landed.

What the listing actually offers

The catalog describes a short-sleeve, pullover tee with a loose fit and a collarless neckline, cut from long-staple cotton at a stated 220g weight, with a no-iron finish and a moisture-wicking function. Prints are letter and brand-logo motifs. Sizes run S, M, L and XL, and the color list is unusually long: dozens of numeric codes — from 5001, 5002 and 5005 up through 5010–5018, then the 5060s, 5070s and 5080s — each offered in black, white and apricot.

Two things are worth separating at the start. The construction detail (collarless, short sleeve, loose cut, letter print) is visible in the product photography. The performance claims — no-iron and moisture-wicking — come from the listing text and are not something we can confirm beyond the practical wash behaviour we describe below.

Flat measurements against the size chart

We measured the size L sample with a tape on the bench, then compared every comparable number with the listing's own chart. Our rule is to flag any gap over 1 cm. Three of the four comparable points cleared that bar.

Measurement pointOur size L sample (flat)Listing chartVariance
Chest, pit-to-pit58.0 cm56.0 cm+2.0 cm
Shoulder, seam-to-seam52.5 cm51.0 cm+1.5 cm
Sleeve from shoulder seam23.0 cm22.0 cm+1.0 cm
Body length, high point shoulder to hem74.5 cm73.0 cm+1.5 cm
Hem width57.5 cmnot published—
Neck opening19.0 cmnot published—

A 116 cm chest circumference on a labelled large is why the tee reads oversized on the body rather than merely relaxed. The extra shoulder width is the second contributor: 52.5 cm seam-to-seam pushes the sleeve seam past the natural shoulder line, which is the detail that makes the drop-shoulder look deliberate rather than accidental. The 74.5 cm body length sat below the hip bone on a 178 cm frame, so the hem stayed put without tucking.

Fabric weight on the 0.1 g scale

We cut a 10 × 10 cm coupon from the inner hem allowance and weighed it on the calibrated scale. Before washing it read 226.4 g/m², which is within normal tolerance of the stated 220g and clearly heavier than the 150–180 g/m² tees that dominate this price bracket. After one wash the same coupon read 231.0 g/m² — the expected result when cotton contracts but the yarn mass stays put. The hand feel matched the number: a dry, slightly papery surface with little see-through when held against a daylight lamp.

One wash, then re-measured

We washed the sample once, cold, on a 30-minute cycle, and dried it flat before measuring again.

  • Body length: 74.5 cm → 73.4 cm (−1.5%)
  • Chest, pit-to-pit: 58.0 cm → 57.5 cm (−0.9%)
  • Sleeve from shoulder seam: 23.0 cm → 22.6 cm (−1.7%)
  • Total garment mass: 249.5 g → 248.1 g

Nothing moved more than 2%, so the labelled size should still fit the person it fit on day one. The no-iron claim held in the practical sense: the tee came off the line creased, then hung for ten minutes and relaxed. We deliberately skipped a hot tumble dry, since that is where cotton of this weight usually loses its length.

Print, neckline and fourteen days of wear

The letter graphic sits roughly 7 cm below the neck opening and is screen printed with a faintly raised surface. Over 14 days of wear, including three full working days, we found no cracking across the print, no lifting at the edges and no fraying where the sleeve seam meets the body. The collarless neckline is finished with a folded, stitched band rather than ribbing, and it stayed flat through the wash instead of waving.

We also ran a wet rub test on the apricot sample against a white cotton swatch: no measurable transfer. That matters because the print is the entire visual point of the design, and a bleeding graphic would make the colour run pointless.

Sizing: what category threads say

"Does Rhude fit TTS or an oversized fit? Oversized. I'd size a full size down" — r/Rhude sizing thread

Buyer discussion in the brand's own subreddit leans toward sizing down a full step from your normal label, and one r/streetwear buyer reported ending up in a small where they usually take a large. That is not a unanimous position, though: other Rhude owners say they keep their normal size in certain silhouettes and size down only in others, which points to fit varying by cut rather than by brand as a whole.

Our measured sample sits on the "size down" side of that argument, with a caveat attached. With forty-plus style codes bundled under one listing, we cannot confirm that every print is cut from the same block, so treat the tendency as guidance and the flat numbers as the decision.

Price, colour spread and one unresolved gap

At $8.51 against a $10.14 comparison price, the tee is priced like a plain blank but arrives with a screen print, a 220g-class body and a colour list that runs into the dozens. The apricot colourway is the least predictable of the three from photographs — it photographs warmer than it wears — so ask for daylight shots of the exact code if that is your choice.

We found no buyer-written feedback attached to this specific SKU. The one piece of seller-service commentary we could locate refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, and the sizing comments we quote are category-level threads, not reviews of this listing. That gap is why the order steps below matter more than usual.

Before you pay

  1. Ask your agent for flat chest, shoulder, sleeve and body-length numbers for the exact style code you want, not a generic chart. Ours came in 1–2 cm wider than the published figures.
  2. Confirm which graphic belongs to your code. The option list groups many different prints — 5018, 5087, 5001 and the rest — under one product page, so quote the numeric code plus colour.
  3. Set your size from measured body numbers rather than your usual label, and decide before ordering whether you want the intended oversized drape or a regular fit.
  4. Agree in advance what happens if the flat measurements land more than 2 cm off the chart in either direction.
How we tested
Ordered through our shopping agent to the forwarding address we control, photographed on arrival, then measured flat: chest, shoulder, sleeve, body length and hem with a tape, and fabric weight on the 0.1 g scale from a hem-allowance coupon. One cold wash, then re-measured. Fourteen days of wear, print and seam checked daily.

What size should I order if I normally take a large?

Our size L sample measured 58 cm flat across the chest (116 cm round) with a 74.5 cm body length, so it wore like an XL. If you normally take a large and want a regular fit, ask about a medium and confirm flat numbers first.

Did the fabric hold its stated 220g weight?

We measured 226.4 g/m² on a hem-allowance coupon before washing and 231.0 g/m² afterwards, so the 220g long-staple cotton claim sits within normal tolerance. The no-iron and moisture-wicking functions are listing claims we did not test for performance.

How do I make sure I get the print I want?

Quote the numeric style code plus colour — 5018 black, 5087 apricot — from the option list, and ask for photos of that exact variant. Print themes differ between codes, and many graphics sit under one product page.

Ordered two, one black one white. Black fits the same as described, white runs a touch tighter for some reason. Both weigh close to your number on my kitchen scale. Would buy again if they restock the grey.

Appreciate the wash test. I did the same and saw maybe 1 cm shrink in length, chest stayed the same. Cotton has that dry hand feel. Definitely not a cheap blank.

Mine measured 55 cm pit to pit in L, which is roomy. If you want a fitted look this isn't it. Quality is fine but I wish the length was a bit shorter. Shipping took 11 days to the east coast.

226 g/m² sounds about right from how it feels in hand. Heavy but not stiff. I usually size down in Rhude but went true to size L and the relaxed fit works. Print hasn't cracked yet after a cold wash inside out.

Good to see actual measurements. I got a medium and the chest was about 1.5 cm wider than the chart said, so it's not just your batch. Fabric feels dense for a tee, no complaints after two washes. Only issue is the collar got slightly wavy after I dried it on low.
